The Silver Ball

The Silver Ball was built by a farmer named Adams who lived on Brookfield
Road. His cow pasture was in the woods currently behind the Mt. Dan
Road property. The old stone walls surrounding the grazing areas are
still visible. Farmer Adams built the Silver Ball as a rental cottage
and there is a story that dances used to be held on the porch. The
original porch crossed the front of the cottage just as the newer porch does
today. |
